<lj:music>Beat It - Michael Jackson</lj:music>

I can't believe Michael Jackson is dead, it seemed like he would live forever! I guess it was his time to go, which is a shame cause I would've loved to see his new tour. He may have done some pretty bad stuff in his personal life, but aside from that his music was really good and innovating for the moment he started singing solo. I'm not from his time, but I love his songs and have realized that they ended up being the foundations for most singers nowadays. It's a shame to loose sucha a genious and the only person who sold 108 million records, with Thriller...

The world will remember him for what he was, one of a kind.
I can remember it as vividly as if it were yesterday, the day that Sara was abducted, the agonizing hours of search, shaking Natalie for answers, reaching an empty car with Sara’s vest and travelling by chopper to Desert Palms praying to god that she woke up. Never had I wished so much for a person to die as did with Natalie, the thought of loosing Sara triggered something in not only my mind but also my heart. It was in that moment that realized what a big part she played in my life.

My mind was going back in time, reviving those excruciating days, when suddenly I was snapped back to the present by a very familiar phrase.

“…she promised me everything and then she took it all away.”

All of a sudden, this is hitting too close to home. The conversation that I thought I had buried in the back of my mind, is now replaying in my head. I told Dr. Lurie I couldn’t do it, but eventually I did. Not only did Sara show me a wonderful life, but also how to live it, I got to the point where caring wasn’t enough and I found myself loving her. The day she was wearing the coveralls and a beekeeper’s mask confirmed my thoughts, no other woman would do this with me and still stir so many feelings inside of me.

Then one day, I’m standing in the middle of my office reading a goodbye letter and thinking what I did wrong. Was she still mad about spending the night at Heathers? Would she had preferred it if I had switched to Swing? Was I neglecting her over work? Should I have not proposed? I called her that night, we talked for almost two hours, she told me that all there was to tell was in the letter and that she hoped she could return to Vegas someday. A cold hand gripped my heart at the thought of not seeing Sara again, feeling her warm body next to mine on the bed, eating the horrendous tofu that I have come to like just for her.

Despite her words she was back, the circumstances couldn’t be worse but the time was so right, the hug in my office gave me the strength I needed to keep on going through the day. The loss of Warrick was more than I could take, seeing life leave his body and not being able to do a thing, finally breaking down in front of everybody. After the funeral we went back home, where grief settled in leading us to find comfort in each other – to feel alive once more.

So, here I am now. It took another suspect to make me rethink my relationship with Sara, however this time in another context. Earlier today, in my office, I told her in not so subtle words that I wanted her to leave me. I was, in some way, trying to ease the pain of her departure, I didn’t want her to feel like she was breaking my heart again. However, it does not please me that I am breaking hers in the process. Sara told me she couldn’t stay and I can’t leave the lab, not just yet, the shift is short handed and there are too many things left to do.

When my time comes, I know she’ll be there for me and we’ll be able to move on… together.

Just wanna get it out of my system and move on.

I'll keep my promise of watching the show until 9x10, but I won't see Grissom in the same way. I know he's really depressed about Warrick's death and in my opinion he should see a psychologist or something, cause you can't be mentally healthy after watching a person you love die in your arms!

I didn't like it that Sara left again, broke my heart, but I know she had to for her own good... The "getaway" sounded pretty good, I think she realized that Grissom needed some time away to relax and think everything over. For a moment it looked like he was considering going away, but as always the job kept him from being happy or moving on in his personal life.

The result of that, Grissom indirectly telling Sara to leave. The office talk was very cryptic and indirect, but we all knew what he was saying and so did Sara. And him not admitting it, like a coward, I think that's what hurt her the most. The final scene with Grissom talking to the suspect seemed to shook him a little bit, we all know that it was Sara who was always offering herself to Grissom, giving everything for him to take. And I think in that moment he came to the conclusion that in his office he had, somehow, let her down.

Title: Never Had A Dream Come True
Rating: K
Pairing: GSR
Summary: This is a pre-Vegas one shot, along with a song
Disclaimer: Unfortunately I don't own Sara, Grissom or S Club 7

A/N: This is not beta so all errors are mine. Enjoy and let me know your thoughts :)

Things shouldn’t have gone that way. She wasn’t supposed to find the love of her life behind a stand ready to give a lecture about insects, nor should he be fifteen years older then her. It was all wrong. It had been a week since she had met Doctor Grissom and still couldn’t get him out of her mind. However, how could she, after everything they had gone through.

Just as she was about to go back in time her mp3 player passed to the next song, intensifying the feelings in her memories.

Everybody's got something they had to leave behind
One regret from yesterday that just seems to grow with time
There's no use looking back or wondering
How it could be now or might have been
Oh this I know but still I can't find ways to let you go

Walking to the centre of the room, Sara approached the professor with pen and note pad in hand “Excuse me, Doctor Grissom. Every time they sat across each other, Sara fought her impulse to reach and take his hand. However, they had to stay professional, who knew if there wasn’t another professor in the diner? That’s why Sara was shocked when one day, before leaving for their coffee, he asked her to dinner.

“Are you sure? I mean, you barely know me and some one could see us and what if…” her nervousness was taking over, which led to her babbling, which led to people disliking her.

Grissom must have been a special case, since he only smiled and answered, “I wouldn’t have asked otherwise. Her mind though the action his hand did when it slide across the table to take hers. Never in her life had she felt that kind of electricity run through her body at a mere touch, she could only imagine what his kisses were like. The meal was quiet as each concentrated on their plates and made small comments about its taste. After declining dessert, Grissom asked for the check and turned to Sara.

“I hope this evening was as pleasant for you as it was for me.” She squeezed his hand in an affirmative way “Good. However, I wouldn’t like this to end so soon. As you must know, I leave to Las Vegas in two days and want to take advantage of the time I have with you as much as I can.” Astonishment would be the understatement of the year for the way Sara felt.

That night they walked to her apartment and somewhere along the path things between them changed. He kissed her goodnight, soft and chaste on the lips, a promise of more.

I've never had a dream come true
Till the day that I found you
Even though I pretend that I've moved on
You'll always be my baby
I never found the words to say
You're the one I think about each day
And I know no matter where life takes me to
A part of me will always be

“Two days” the words rung in her ears as she tried to pay attention to the file in front of her. The day after the fabulous dinner Sara had made up her mind. She wanted a man as sweet, kind and polite as Gil Grissom to be her first.

You'll always be the dream that fills my head
Yes you will, say you will, you know you will
Oh baby, you'll always be the one I know I'll never forget
There's no use looking back or wondering
Because love is a strange and funny thing
No matter how I try and try I just can't say goodbye
No no no no

After their usual coffee at the diner, Sara invited Grissom to her house. She told him it was to give him a better goodbye, but both new better. They were about to sit on the couch when Sara put her hands on both sides of his face and kissed him with a passion neither expected. It was sweet and addictive and she didn’t want to stop, nevertheless he had to be warned.

“I haven’t done this before and it may change everything.” She took his hands in hers and looked straight into his eyes “I want you to be my first.” There was no questioning or denying as he led her to the bedroom.

If she had the chance to go back in time, she would have done it all the same. Her first time with Grissom was everything she expected and more. The blissfulness was the best part as they lay in their arms caressing and kissing. She tried not to think how in a few hours he heart would be broken.

I've never had a dream come true
Till the day that I found you
Even though I pretend that I've moved on
You'll always be my baby
I never found the words to say (words to say)
You're the one I think about each day
And I know no matter where life takes me to
A part of me will always be
A part of me will always be with you

The song and her thoughts ended at the same time, as Sara took the device and threw it to the floor. She got up and headed to her bedroom, where she noticed her cell phone flashing. Flipping it open, she saw that someone had left her a voice mail. “Hi I uh thought you might want to know I arrived ok and uh…that I…god, I miss you so much.” A sob escaped her as she lay on the bed and replayed the message repeatedly.

Who would’ve though that would be the beginning to a great romance?

The End

Once there she grabbed a cup of coffee and sat on the couch. A few minutes later Grissom strode in, grabbed a cup of coffee and sat across from Sara. After a moment of silence, Grissom began to talk.

“So, how’s life?” asked Grissom taking a sip of coffee.

“Good.” She paused a minute before remembering her manners, “You?” Sara asked, looking anywhere but at Grissom.

“Good. I just received a new cockroach for my race!” answered Grissom with a proud grin on his face.

“That’s great!! When do you have the race?” asked Sara. Anything to avoid the conversation that would break her heart.

“Next month in California. I’ll be gone for a week, maybe more,” Grissom told her while taking another sip from his cup.

“A week?!?! Wow that’s…that’s a long time, for you or me anyway” said a shocked Sara. ‘What am I going to do without him for a whole week? Especially after what happened last night.’

Grissom nodded at her comment and grabbed the paper from the table next to him. There was an awkward silence, again, broken by Grissom.

“Are we ever going to talk about last night or were you planning on just ignoring it??” asked Grissom with what looked like hurt in his eyes.

“I um…I didn’t think you would want to. I thought it was just a one time thing and that you would act like it never happened,” answered a blushed Sara.

“Sara…” before he could continue, the entrance of Catherine to the break room interrupted Grissom. She took her tea, went over to Sara and began to tell her about the date she had had the other night. After a while, the conversation between Sara and Grissom was long forgotten.

By the time shift started, everyone was in the break room ready for assignments. Grissom gave a 419 to Nick and Warrick, a B&E to Catherine and a decomp to Greg. Sara was with him because they had to finish some paperwork from a previous case. In a matter of minutes, they were again alone as everyone was going to their locations. Grissom got up and went to his office leaving Sara with a look of disappointment.

Once in his office Grissom began to pace from one corner to the other with only one thought in his head and it was killing him! ‘How could Sara thing it was a one time thing? I would never do that to her, to me. I have to talk to her’. Therefore, when his paperwork was done he went in search for Sara. He found her in the locker room arranging some things inside her locker; she never took notice of him until he coughed.

“We um…we need to finish our talk” said a nervous Grissom.

“What talk?” asked Sara trying to act clueless in an effort to escape.

“The one we were having before Catherine came in. Now if you would please join me in my office.” And with that Grissom walk out and on to his office without looking back. Meanwhile Sara stood in the middle of the looker room with surprise all over her face. Not wanting to lose what could be her only chance, she hurried into the office. Grissom locked the door and sat on the couch next to Sara.

“Look Sara… what happened last night wasn’t really in my plans, but I want you to know that I don’t regret it, I had the best night in my life and whether you like it or not I will never forget it,” Grissom said. He kept his gaze on his hands the entire time, the memory the previous night, the taste of her lips, the touch of her hand running through his minds eye; but his next line made him look over at Sara. “I know that I’ve been playing with your emotions these past few years and you have every right to do the same thing to me, but I never meant those things. I was just too worried about losing you that I didn’t realize you were in pain.” By the time his speech had finished Sara was close to tears, very confused, with a lump firmly lodged her throat. Nevertheless, she did manage to ask the ten million dollar question.

“Why now? You didn’t think I was worth the risk before,” she questioned. At this Grissom’s eyes widened in knowledge “What changed?” She just felt so hurt and angry.

“I um…I don’t know. I guess I just realized that I don’t want to spend the rest of my life, or what’s left of it, all alone while I can be with the woman I’ve…” Grissom took a deep breath and looked at Sara “The woman I’ve been falling in love with for the past 7 years” He had never seen the look Sara was giving him now. Was she angry? Was she hurt? Did she understand him? He took the plunged and said “By the way, it’s not that you weren’t worth the risk; because you are worth more then life itself. I was too scared to act on it. I’m sorry Sara.”

Sara was shocked, where was all of this coming from? Grissom was opening up to her, in his office, in the middle of shift, telling her he loved her and Sara didn’t know what to do. They were silent for a moment, Grissom mentally kicking himself for everything ‘Of course she doesn’t want you anymore! You hurt her enough already’.

“Wow” said Sara taking Grissom out of his thoughts “I don’t know what to say, Griss. I need some time to process everything. I need time to think,” Sara saw the hurt in Grissom’s eyes and felt bad, but then remembered all the times he had hurt her.

Trying to cover the hurt and disappointment from his voice Grissom said, “Look, um…let me know when you come to a decision. I’ll be here” He was trying to keep the grin on his face as long as possible.

Just as Sara was about to talk there was a knock on the door and Grissom moved hesitantly towards it. As his hand was gripping the handle, Sara said “Um…Griss” once Grissom had turned around Sara continued, “I’ll never forget last night either”.

TBC

You might want to break the emotional chains that bind you, but find that the ideals of love and intimacy are firmly shackled to you and cannot be severed.

Matches for the Slave to Emotions:

The Bleeding Heart

The Bleeding Heart is idealistic and indulgent as you are, and just as love-needy, making for lots of shared common ground. You'll also find the Bleeding Heart to be more passionate and fun-loving, something that at first might turn you off, but you will find this will provide a perfect balance to your intimate nature.

The Heart of Gold

The Heart of Gold values harmony and unity just as you do, and shares your ideals of love and intimacy, but is more independent. The Heart of Gold will never leave you and always be there to love you, and this above all else you will appreciate. The Heart of Gold's loving nature will make you feel as if you have found someone to help carry your rattling emotional chains, and that they are glad to do it.

The Patron Saint's Heart

The Patron Saint's Heart craves love just as you do and value harmony and togetherness as well, but is more down-to-earth and passionate than you. However, you will value these more sensual qualities, and the Patron Saint's more protective and loving nature will make you feel loved needed, something value greatly.

Your exact opposite is The Lord's Heart.

Avoid Explicits when possible. They're open and frank nature is contrary to yours. You may also want to avoid Independents unless they have other qualities you seek to balance them out, as you are a person who craves closeness with another person.

Take The Heart Test at HelloQuizzy

Title: I Wish You Knew
Rating: T
Pairing: GSR
Summary: This is a song fic, I thought the song was really sweet and it fits GSR pretty good.
Spoilers: None
Disclaimer: I don't own neither CSI or Mariah Carey...

A/N: Hey guys! I was listening to this song and it made me thinks of GSR, so I wrote this fic :) I hope you like it and enjoy it! Let me know your thoughts

Grissom was driving to a crime scene in the dessert when he turned on the radio and music filled the car. Suddenly he was taken back to the last time he had heard that song, it had been with Sara.

Flashback

Grissom was doing his rounds to check up on the team since there were ten minutes till the end of shift. His last stop was Sara; she had been working the whole shift in the layout room going through the victim’s clothes and belongings. From the outside he could see Sara doing her job methodically and moving her lips, like singing. His thoughts were confirmed when he opened the door and heard a mixture of the singer and Sara’s voice, he was about to speak when the song changed. Grissom could see that Sara really liked this song, cause her eyes closed and when she began to sing it seemed like the words were coming from her heart.

I just wish you knew
how much I still love you

I've got to see you
Wherever you are
And I've got to be there
I am wishing on stars
I've got to reveal what's inside of my heart
But the words escape me
And I'm paralyzed
So helpless when I
Look into your eyes

And how I wish you only knew
what I feel inside for you
you probably haven't got a clue
But I wish you knew
how I love you, baby

Grissom stood there and listened intently to the lyrics, whishing they didn’t describe his exact feelings for Sara. He remembered how every morning he laid awake, thinking about her and how this could be.

Honestly, I know it's silly of me
to want you so badly
But keep it concealed
See my inferiority complex kicks in
and the words escape me
And I'm paralyzed
So helpless when I
Look into your eyes

And how I wish you only knew
what I feel inside for you
you probably haven't got a clue
But I wish you knew
how I love you, baby

I don't know if anybody else outside there tonight
Who knows what it feels like
To want somebody so bad
That nothing and nobody
Can ever seem to fill that void
That is the situation that I'm talking about right now
And if you feel me
Sing the song with me
Come on

And he did, but silently. All the time watching the emotions play in her face, the pain, hurt, longing and finally love. I’ll probably regret this or it’ll make me the happiest man alive.

And how I wish you only knew
what I feel inside for you
you probably haven't got a clue
But I wish you knew
how I love you, baby

And how I wish you only knew
what I feel inside for you
you probably haven't got a clue
But I wish you knew
how I love you, baby

“Ajam…” Grissom said as soon as the song ended.

Sara’s head shot up and her cheeks started to turn red, she stopped the music as fast as she could and returned her attention to Grissom “Hey Griss didn’t see you there.”

“I know, you were so concentrated I didn’t want to disturb you.” he closed the door and stepped inside.

“Do you need something?” to his surprise she didn’t sound mad.

“Actually I do. I’m gonna make an experiment for a case and wanted to see if you were interested in helping me…” He finished the sentence in his head 'and then go out to a nice restaurant were I would tell you that I’m ready for this.''

“Uhm…sure, I’m already done here anyway. What’s the experiment about?” she was rapidly putting away all the evidence and equipment.

“It’s about the amount of protein in substances, I read it in a magazine and it called my attention.” He was crossing his fingers she would ask the name of the magazine certain that she would go if she heard it.

“What magazine?” she looked up at him and suddenly the conversation seemed like one they had had 6 years ago.

“Applied Psychodynamics in Forensic Science.” A smiled played in his lips at the look on Sara’s face.

“Lead the way bugman!” and with that they walked out of the lab to a new life.

End of Flashback

He was brought back to the present when the song ended and a country one started. He stopped at the side of the rode and took out his cell phone. Someone answered after the second ring.

“Hi sweetie, how are you? …nothing’s wrong, we are all fine…I just uh heard our song and wanted to let you know how much I still love you…”

The End

Title: Last Night
Rating: Starts T and then up to an M
Pairing: GSR
Summary: One night something happens between Grissom and Sara in the Locker Room.
Spoilers: Beginning of season 4
Disclaimer: Nop, it all goes to Jerry :(

A/N: I hope you enjoy the story and I would love it if you leave a reaview so I know what you think xD

As usual, Sara arrived at the lab an hour before shift; she went to the locker room to leave her bag and then headed to the break room. Once there she grabbed a cup of coffee and sat on the couch. A few minutes later Grissom strode in, grabbed a cup of coffee and sat across from Sara. After a moment of silence Grissom began to talk.

“So, how’s life?” asked Grissom taking a sip of coffee.

“Good, good…You?” said Sara looking anywhere but Grissom.

“Good. I just received a new cockroach for my race!” answered Grissom with a proud grin on his face.

“That’s great!! When do you have the race?” asked Sara. Anything to avoid the conversation that would break her heart.

“Yeah, it’s in a month in California. I’ll be gone for a week maybe more.” Grissom told her while taking another sip from his cup.

“A week?!?! Wow that’s…that’s a long time” said a shocked Sara. ‘What am I going to do without him for a whole week? Especially after what happened last night.’

Grissom nodded at her comment and grabbed the paper from the table next to him. There was an awkward silence that was, again, broken by Grissom.

“Are we ever going to talk about last night or were you planning on just ignoring it??” asked Grissom with what looked like hurt in his eyes.

“I um…I didn’t think you would want to. I thought it was just a one time thing and that you would act like it never happened” answered a blushed Sara.

“Sara…” before he could continue, Grissom was interrupted by the entrance of Catherine to the break room. She took her tea, went over to Sara and began to tell her about the date she had had the other night. After a while the conversation between her and Grissom was long forgotten.

By the time shift started everyone was in the break room ready for assignments. Grissom gave a 419 to Nick and Warrick, a B&E to Catherine and a decomp to Greg. Sara was with him because they had to finish some paperwork from a previous case. In a matter of minutes they were again alone as everyone was going to their locations.
So, when his paperwork was done he went in search for Sara.

Not wanting to lose what could be her only chance, she hurried into office. Grissom locked the door and sat on the couch next to Sara.

“Look Sara… what happened last night wasn’t really in my plans, but I want you to know that I don’t regret it, I had the best night in my life and weather you like it or not I will never forget it.” Grissom said all of this while looking at his hands the entire time and remembering the events from the previous night, the taste of her lips, the touch of her hand; but his next line made him look at Sara in the eyes. “I know that I’ve been playing with your emotions these past few years and you have every right to do the same thing to me, but I never meant those things. I was just too worried about losing you that I didn’t realize you were in pain.” By the time his speech had finished Sara was close to tears, very confused and with a lump on her throat. But she did manage to ask the ten million dollar question.

“Why now? You didn’t think I was worth the risk before,” at this Grissom’s eyes widened in knowledge “so what changed?” she just felt so hurt and angry.

Or did she understand him? He took the plunged and said “By the way, it’s not that you weren’t worth the risk; cause you worth more then life itself. I was too scared to act on it. I’m sorry Sara” Sara was shocked, where was all of this coming from? Grissom was opening up to her, in his office, in the middle of shift practically telling her he loved her and Sara didn’t know what to do. They were silent for a moment, Grissom mentally kicking himself for everything ‘Of course she doesn’t want you anymore! You hurt her enough already’.
“Wow” said Sara taking Grissom out of his thoughts “I don’t know what to say, Griss. I need some time to process everything, I need time to think.” Sara saw the hurt in Grissom’s eyes and felt bad, but then remembered all the times he had hurt her.
Trying to cover the hurt and disappointment from his voice Grissom said “Oook, um…let me know when you come to a decision. I’ll be here” He was trying to keep the grin on his face as long as possible.
Just as Sara was about to talk there was a knock on the door and Grissom moved hesitantly towards it. As his hand was gripping the handle Sara said “Um…Griss” once Grissom had turned around Sara continued “I’ll never forget last night either”.

TBC
